  9. This is an update archive to change Iris V1.3 to V1.4.
  10. It uses GPatch, created by Ralph Gruner, which is included.
  11.  
  12. New in V1.4:
  13.  
  14. * BUGFIX: "Folded" headers cause less trouble. They are lines that continue
  15.   a previous header line; a space or a tab at the start of the second line
  16.   indicates this.
  17.  
  18. * BUGFIX:  After a deletion the newly selected message wasn't always loaded
  19.   in the listview.
  20.  
  21. * BUGFIX: Finally found a way to circumvent the read/write byte 8 Enforcer
  22.   hits. They are caused by a BGUI bug related to the titles of the columns.
  23.   I removed the titles. They will be back when Manuel Lemos will have fixed
  24.   the bug.

  26. * The contents of MIME messages which are not multipart can now be saved too,
  27.   except for text/* and message/*; use the Save button for them. Other types
  28.   are not very common, but the RFC allows them.
  29.  
  30. * While saving and decoding a busy pointer and a new window title is now
  31.   added to the window.
  32.  
  33. * In new messages read into the message list and in the "%a" in quote
  34.   header, the email address is now left out when a real name is present. The
  35.   old "%a" behaviour can be got by using "%f".

  37. * As I discovered that CygnusEd reacts to the suffix, I changed the name of
  38.   the temporary file from "Iris.post.xxxxxxxx" to "Iris_xxxxxxxx.post".

  40. * Added a search function in the message list.

  42. * Made it impossible to resize the search windows in the vertical direction.

  44. * Improved the quoting in replies. Strange types and base64-encoded data are
  45.   now represented by a special line instead of all strange stuff and
  46.   quoted-printable is now decoded.
  47.  
  48. * Improved the adding of "Re: ". Iris now changes all "Re: "s and
  49.   "Re[xx]: "s to a single "Re[xx]: ". Note that the number is not very
  50.   reliable: some mailers leave the subject unchanged when it already begins
  51.   with "Re: ".
  52.  
  53. * BUGFIX: date and time were sometimes improperly separated (in the
  54.   creation of the quote header). This bug has been part of Iris since V1.0.
  55.  
  56. * Added a new quote header field "%b": the subject without "Re: ".
  57.  
  58. * Removed a double key shortcut in the configuration window ("Edit signature"
  59.   button).
  60.  
  61. * The timezone has been corrected: + and - reversed.

  63. * The temporary file "RAM:Iris_xxxxxxxx.post" (in which you type a new
  64.   message) is now deleted after use.

  66. * New menu option "Message/Edit" to edit a message. If necessary, the
  67.   message is reloaded.
